Alien series: Love it. My very first DVD ever was the 20th Anniversary Edition of Alien.
Star Wars: Personally, I am hard pressed to really call Star Wars “Sci-fi.” It is stuck with that label because there are space ships and laser beams, but it really doesn’t live up to the “Science” part of Science-Fiction. George Lucas calls it a “Space Opera,” but I find that it falls more into the Fantasy genre. Jedi are essentially monks, knights, or samurai; whichever floats your particular boat. Regardless of my silly genre bickering, I love Star Wars to death.
Blade Runner: That movie is so damn quotable. I have really only seen it once, but I make a Blade Runner quote probably once every other week. That flick has legs.
Dune: Oof. Just… Oof.
The Matrix: I refused to see The Matrix for a good three years until after it came out. The problem with my brilliant plan is that every single person and their mother parodied every aspect of The Matrix in the mean time. By the time I got around to seeing it, I had pretty much experienced it. I was not impressed. However, I stayed with it, and liked Reloaded after catching it on DVD. I went to see Revolutions in theaters after that. Out of the three, I liked Reloaded the most, but I am certainly in the minority. On a side note, Fight Club tells essentially the same damn story as The Matrix trilogy. In place of a 6-hour Matrix marathon, I would substitute a watching of Fight Club.
Terminator: Jesus, I love The Terminator series. Everything about it. I am a Terminator whore.
PHASE MELODIC SHIFTS!!!11111 Star Trek nooooooob.
